Program Overview
Introduction to our partial hospitalization program for addiction treatment
The partial hospitalization program at Cove Forge Behavioral Health is a co-ed treatment program at our campus in Williamsburg, PA. Most individuals enter PHP as a step-down level of care following residential treatment, with eventual transition to an outpatient treatment program in their home area. Our program includes a housing component, with separate residences for men and women.
In order to be admitted to the partial hospitalization program, the client must be free from acute withdrawal signs and symptoms and must have completed their detoxification taper. Patients must be chemically dependent, psychiatrically stable, and capable of functioning in this level of care. Patients must be age 18 or older to qualify for admission. Programming within the partial hospitalization program occurs seven days per week.
The goals for the partial hospitalization program are:
- Achieve and maintain abstinence
- Increase patient and family understanding of chemical dependency
- Gain acceptance of the disease
- Learn tools of recovery and stages of relapse
- Encourage the use of personal support groups such as NA, AA, CODA, ACOA, and Al-Anon
- Establish and commit to aftercare plan
